A self taught artist born in Rutland 1987, Laura lives in East London working as a specialised Portrait and Wildlife artist.
With a lifelong adoration for art and creativity and a continued love for nature and wildlife, she pursued her enthusiasm only as a sideline when it came to further education. She achieved a BSC Honours in Marketing at Newcastle Upon Tyne University (2009) - still painting for pleasure in her free time throughout. Once studying was over, Laura received her first ever pet portrait commission, triggering sufficient response from others it became a sideline career until summer 2013.
In June 2013, Laura assisted a team of three other artists on her first ever mural project at a residential property in Barbados, managed by Capital Interiors. This rare opportunity opened her eyes to the possibilities ahead and, consequently, became the catalyst for her going solo as an artist on her return.
Based at Hackney Down Studios, Laura has since been extending her wildlife portfolio, developing through subject, style and technique a heavy focus on the beautiful animals and tribes of this world that are endangered in some way or another.
Laura also accepts commissions for pet and people portraits, as well as any wildlife requests.
