Tarot Reading at Curious Duke

Posted on December 5, 2012

On Tuesday, the 11th December from 5:00pm - 8:00pm Curious Duke Gallery will play host to a few spreads of tarot cards. Diana Read Granger-Taylor will be taking over the gallery with her students in readings from 10-15 minutes for £5, with all proceeds going to our chosen charity this Christmas.

Now, I've only had one reading a few years ago, and I myself don't really understand it, so for those you who are yet to dabble here is some more information.

A little bit about tarot –

Tarot is an ancient art known to help one gather more understanding about the present positions and potential out comes (almost like a much more in depth Horoscope)

The cards themselves are understood to have common meanings which are then applied personally, for instance The Star represents hope, which in yourself may have been lost so the card refocuses you.

These will then be spread into formation, most commonly in the shape of the Celtic Cross, horse-shoe and tetractys, although there are many more.

And the rest, you'll have to wait and see on the night- I couldn't possibly tell you.

Please come along to our event on Tuesday 11th December where we will have trot readers waiting to answer those burning questions you may have!

All proceeds go to charity.
