WHAT'S ON

Features and programming at the Affordable Art Fair Hampstead 2017

CHARITY PRIVATE VIEW

Make sure you’re one of the first to peruse the art on offer and to enjoy a complimentary glass of the good stuff with us this year in Hampstead on Wednesday 10 May from 5.30 – 9.30pm. We’re pleased to share that our Charity Partner will be the Roundhouse.

To many the Roundhouse is simply an iconic music and performance venue, but what a lot of people may not be aware of are the host of creative opportunities offered to young people in the form of music, performing arts, digital media and much more. These opportunities encourage participants from all different walks of life to build and develop the skills needed for employment and personal development.

On the night, look out for entertainment from the Roundhouse's young DJs and performers who will have lots of surprises in store and don’t miss the chance to see Hampstead School of Art artist Abi Yentis making work live in our Tree Top Sculpture Caf&eacute from 5pm - 8pm. Book your tickets here

LATE VIEW

Don’t’ miss our Late View on Thursday 11 May from 5.30 – 9.30pm for an evening of inspiring art and activities, a live DJ and a complimentary glass of wine as well as thousands of artworks to choose from. Plus, Hampstead School of Art are back with live demonstrations in our Tree Top Sculpture Café as well as young performers from the Roundhouse.

WORKSHOPS, TALKS & TOURS

This summer, we are celebrating the cultural diversity of London as a creative hub through a variety of events and workshops. We’ll be embracing art techniques inspired by far flung places like the Cameroon and Indonesia, whilst looking closer to home at the global influences that inspire the emerging Made in Arts London artists. JW3 are back with activities for all ages including a workshop on the folk art of traditional Jewish paper cutting and for those of you wanting to learn something new, City Lit will be delivering taster sessions of their popular part time art courses. Expand your horizons and get creative in the process!

Outside of workshop times, the Creative Studio will be open with art supplies on hand for all ages to drop in and get creative. Kids aged 4 – 11 can pick up a free ‘Art Passport’ activity pack from the Creative Studio. Unless otherwise stated all activities take place in the Creative Studio.
